Vaughan-Bassett American Made Bedroom Furniture

Based in Galax, Virginia, Vaughan-Bassett Furniture Company manufactures bedroom furniture. In 1919, two men, B.C. Vaughan and J.D. Bassett, Sr., both of whom were from Bassett, Virginia, first founded our company. Mr. Bassett, Sr., and his brother, C.C. Bassett, also founded what today is well known as Bassett Furniture Industries. Employing over 700 people in factories based in Galax, Virginia, and Elkin, North Carolina, we are extremely proud of the fact that over 97 percent of our furniture is crafted here in the United States by American employees. In fact, Vaughan-Bassett is now the largest manufacturer of wooden adult bedroom furniture in the United States.

Century Rue De Seine Collection At Hickory Park Furniture

Because nearly everything we manufacture is made to order in our facilities in North Carolina, we have the ability to alter most items to your custom specifications. We will attempt most any custom change that you can imagine and all we need to quote your work of art is a sketch with dimensions.

“If you can dream it and draw it we can probably build it.”

Custom Dining Room Furniture

Proudly Made in North America – Canadel is a family-owned company. We believe in manufacturing products that are hand-assembled and hand-finished in North America. All Canadel furnishings are made of North American solid birch. To protect the wood, we apply a catalyzed coating made of synthetic lacquers modified with nitrocellulose. This combination produces a finish that is highly resistant to marking and staining. Maintenance is easy – a damp cloth is all you need. We’ve always considered wood as a noble material and this is reflected in the final quality of all our products. Through all phases of production, we maintain a respect for nature and the many years that have gone into growing the wood we use. All our cardboard packaging is made from recycled fibers and we distill and reuse all paint residues in our production. Since 1982, the Canadel vision has endured – offering personalized products tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer’s home. Canadel: Inspired by you, made for you..

Durham Furniture Hudson Falls Collection

The Kincaid Furniture Difference

It’s been said that “things aren’t made the way they used to be,” but at Kincaid, that’s not exactly true. While several enhancements have been made since our beginnings in 1946, we still use solid wood construction, wood-on-wood drawer movement, and hand rubbed finishes to craft our wood furniture. And the same can be said for our upholstery. Over the past 30 years, our upholstery operations in western North Carolina have built quality, bench made upholstery one piece at a time. And like Kincaid’s solid wood furniture, the upholstery has also benefited from a number of enhancements that continue to add value for the customer.
